Adult Classes

The emphasis during all our Adult classes at DanceAway is on learning to dance in a Social and enjoyable way, with the benefit of gentle exercise.

DanceAway currently offers Adult Classes as follows:-

Monday Afternoons

At the Allendale Centre, Hanham Road, Wimborne, BH21 1AS

Beginners

1.45pm - 2.25pm

Come with or without a partner and learn the basics in Ballroom and Latin American Dancing

Improvers

2.30pm - 3.10pm

Suitable for those who can already dance the basic steps but would like to improve a little before moving to the next level

Intermediate

3.15pm - 3.55pm

This Class is aimed at those who can already confidently dance around a dance floor, but would like to learn a few variations and improve their technique

Cost: £5.00 per class per person... Stay to any two classes £7.50... or all three £10.00

Everyone welcome, with or without a partner.

Please note: Our Monday Classes do NOT normally run on the third Monday each month as the Main Hall at the Allendale Centre is unavailable.

Tuesday Afternoons

At Colehill Village Hall, Cannon Hill Road, Colehill, Wimborne, BH21 2LR

We offer Ballroom, Latin American and Popular Sequence classes at this venue as well as Specialised ‘One Dance’ classes, private tuition and Occasional Tea Dances.

Thursday Mornings

At St Mark’s Church, Talbot Village, Wallisdown, Bournemouth, BH10 4HY

Beginners

9.45am - 10.25am

Come with or without a partner and learn the basics in Ballroom and Latin American Dancing

Improvers

10.30am - 11.10am

Come with or without a partner and learn the basics in Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha Cha, Jive and more. The emphasis during Adult Classes is on learning to dance in a sociable and friendly atmosphere with the added benefit of gentle exercise.

Afternoon Tea Dances (with a Popular Sequence Tuition Class)

At Colehill Village Hall, Cannon Hill Road, Colehill, Wimborne, BH21 2LR

A mix of Ballroom, Latin American & Popular Sequence Dancing.

DanceAway holds occasional Tuesday Afternoon Tea Dances at Colehill Village Hall.

Large Hall and free Car Parking on site.

Popular Sequence Class: 1.30pm – 2pm (Cost: £4.00 per person)

Afternoon Tea Dance: 2pm – 4pm (Cost: £6.00 per person Tea/Coffee and Biscuits included)

Or stay to both for £8.00 per person.

Everyone/All Abilities Welcome.

Social Evening Dances

The Allendale Centre, Wimborne, BH21 1AS (in the Main Hall)

Colehill Village Hall, Cannon Hill Road, Colehill, Wimborne, BH21 2LR

DanceAway currently holds regular Saturday Evening Social Dances at both the above venues covering Ballroom and Latin American Dancing, plus a little popular Sequence.

7.30pm – 10.15pm (Doors open 7.15pm)

Cost: £8.00 per person (Please pay at the Door)

The Allendale Centre has a large maple wood, sprung dance floor, a licensed bar and there is a large car park with free evening parking nearby. Non-Stop Dancing.

Colehill Village Hall has a large floor, with free Car Parking on site.

Tea/Coffee and cake is included during a short break.

This venue does not have a licensed bar, so you are welcome to bring your own refreshments.

Everyone/All Abilities Welcome.

Please note however, that we are unable to supply host dancers at any of our Dances.
